Jason T. Swinton, DC

Dr. Swinton has been in practice since 2011, after graduating from New York Chiropractic College with his Doctorate in Chiropractic. Dr. Swinton previously attended SUNY Geneseo where he majored in Pre-Med/Biology and was a varsity letterman on the men’s basketball team. Dr. Swinton’s academic honors include Phi Chi Omega Chiropractic Scholastic Honor Society and Tri Beta National Biological Honor Society. Dr. Swinton is certified by the National Board of Chiropractic Examiners; and is also certified by Excellus BlueCross BlueShield as a Primary Spine Practitioner.

Dr. Swinton has completed many hours of continuing education to further develop his ability to provide the best possible care for his patients. Dr. Swinton experiences success helping patients with musculoskeletal conditions related to sports injuries, motor vehicle injuries, degenerative spinal conditions, radiculopathy, headache and pregnancy. Dr. Swinton also has a passion for providing care for pediatric patients of all ages.

In the practice Dr. Swinton uses a combination of treatment techniques, including: Diversified Technique, Flexion Distraction, Spinal Decompression, Trigger Point Therapy, Instrument Assisted Soft Tissue Therapy (Graston Technique), Instrument Assisted Manipulation (Activator Protocol), as well as several other types of treatment.

Outside of the practice, Dr. Swinton most enjoys spending time with his family; and can otherwise be found on the water, in the woods or on the ski slopes.

Desiree Smith, DC

Dr. Smith is originally from Fairport, New York. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Biology from St. John Fisher University and a Doctor of Chiropractic degree from D'Youville University. 

During her time at D'Youville, she played a pivotal role in establishing the first International Chiropractic Pediatric Association (ICPA) Club, where she proudly served as the Vice President. 

Dr. Smith is a certified chiropractor holding National Board of Chiropractic Examiners certifications. She has been recognized as a Primary Spine Practitioner by Excellus BlueCross BlueShield. Dr. Smith is an active member of the International Chiropractic Pediatric Association (ICPA) and the International Chiropractors Association (ICA).

Dr. Smith is a certified practitioner of the Webster Technique. She focuses on postpartum care, infant and early childhood development, lactation support, feeding, and conditions such as Tethered Oral Tissues, like tongue ties.

She specializes in providing chiropractic care to children and expectant mothers. Being a mom, she knows precisely how crucial it is to take good care of your health during pregnancy and childhood. She firmly believes that chiropractic care and a balanced diet are vital in ensuring the well-being of both moms-to-be and their little ones.

Rose Hedderman

Patient Coordinator

Rose is originally from Rochester and has recently moved back to the area after living in North Carolina for many years. She’s been a member of the Lakeside team since 2022. Rose has spent the majority of her career as an administrative assistant in law firms in Manhattan and has worked in various fields of healthcare in Raleigh, North Carolina. Rose graduated from Marist College in Poughkeepsie, New York with a BA in History.

She’s married with one son and 2 cats. In her free time, she enjoys watching European travel videos on YouTube, reading biographies, and watching old movies and television shows.

She is dedicated to patient care and advocating for patients and their needs. Healthcare is of special interest because she enjoys meeting new people.
